Hotels

Faber Maunsell understands the hotel market and delivers sustainable buildings of outstanding quality, across all budget sectors.

We provide a comprehensive engineering design service across all disciplines, working in services and structures supported by a wide range of specialist disciplines including acoustics, fire, environmental, lighting and IT.

Starting with an understanding of the brand standards, we challenge and develop the building design to provide exciting but robust and cost-efficient solutions that match the client’s aspirations.

We have worked for most of the major hotel operators including Accor, Marriott and De Vere in the UK as well as a number of specialist operators such as Arora and City Inn.  Now that hotels feature as an integral part of many mixed use developments, our client list also includes major developers such as Land Securities, Development Securities and the Crown Estate as well as smaller independent developers.

We understand hotel operational issues and the importance of maintaining brand standards while achieving high standards of energy efficiency and sustainability. With a highly experienced team of consultants and specialists, we can offer assistance across the engineering field to meet all circumstances. We thrive in a team environment, working closely with architects and developers to deliver outstanding projects. The success of this approach means that many of our appointments are repeat clients or direct referral.

We have sophisticated engineering and modelling tools available which allow us to rapidly evaluate options and alternative solutions to facilitate the decision-making process at the early stages of projects. In detailed design, we use three-dimensional modelling to identify and resolve potential clashes and to explore ‘buildability’ on the computer rather than on site, saving the client time and money.
